Based on the vision of the Montérégie West Community Network to develop a strong and vibrant English-speaking community by bringing together individuals, community groups, public organizations, professionals, and businesses, we are pleased to announce the first annual MWCN Job Fair.

In March 2024, we are organizing two job fairs within the MRCs of Haut-Saint-Laurent (Huntingdon) and Les-Jardins-de-Napierville (Hemmingford) under the theme of Your Road to Success, which will bring together employers and employability partners under one roof.

The Job Fair brings together local employers and regional employability service partner organizations from various sectors under one roof with local job seekers, thereby serving the needs of the local community looking for open, short or long-term employment opportunities for the upcoming spring and summer seasons.

Each fair will allow employers to present their job offers to potential candidates and community partners to meet and discuss their workforce needs.

You will have a chance to meet with local youth for summer positions and non-youth job seekers in your community. A quiet space can be provided for you to hold interviews on the spot.

If you are a Local Business, we will provide opportunities for hosting 30-minute presentation spots so that you may discuss why job seekers should consider working for your business. 

If you are an Employability Partner, we will provide 30-minute workshops so that you can have the opportunity to teach the job-seekers a skillset or discuss your services and how you can help them in their job search process. Time slots are first come, first served, at no extra cost.

The cost to participate in each fair is $50, which will include the following:

• 6-foot table and 2 chairs

• A boxed lunch and refreshments per exhibitor

• Bring your tablecloth and presentation material – e.g. free-standing banner, flyers, business cards, promotional material)
